(1929). Stal sa štvrtým kaplánom u farára Jána Kohútha. Jeho pastoračné činnosti spočívali v spovedaní a zaopatrovaní. Pravidelne kázal v slovenskom či maďarskom jazyku, katechizoval, viedol prednášky, vyučoval náboženstvo a prekladal náboženské knihy. V dôsledku tlaku totalitného režimu a podlomeného zdravia požiadal o predčasné penzionovanie.
At a young age, Július Krébes was diagnosed with a congenital eye disorder. He finished grammar schol and graduated from the theological seminary in Banská Bystrica. He was ordained after receiving a special approval, granted to the almost blind seminarian by Pope Pius XI (1929). He became the fourth chaplain with the parish priest Ján Kohúth. His pastoral duties included hearing confessions and administering the sacraments. He regularly delivered sermons in Slovak or Hungarian, taught catechism classes, gave lectures to young people, taught religion and translated religious books. During World War II he prepared several Jews for baptism. He was a close coworker of bishop Andrej Škrábik. After the bishop’s death (1950) he was specially authorized to manage the diocese. He kept a diary which contains valuable thoughts and comments on contemporary events. He requested early retirement under pressure from the totalitarian regime and due to his ill health. He is buried in his parents’ grave in the Catholic Cemetery.
